UNIFORM POLICY 2014-2015
ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED AT MURPHY HIGH SCHOOL ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR THE APPROVED UNIFORM ON CAMPUS AT ALL TIMES!
Light Blue oxford style ONLY (short sleeve or long sleeve)
NO MANUFACTURER OR DESIGNER LOGOS -- MURPHY HIGH SCHOOL LOGOS ONLY!
Solid White or P. E. shirts – short sleeve ONLY. No turtlenecks, printed tee shirts, long-sleeved thermal undershirts.
Tan Khaki uniform slacks with BELT LOOPS that fit naturally at the waist. No jeans, cargo, corduroy, Capri length, denim, or drawstring. No hanging or sagging pants.
Solid Brown or Solid Black only with no designs.
Must be visible at all times. No ornate belt buckles. No colored or sparkled belts
Solid Navy blue jacket/coats and sweatshirts. Murphy outerwear is acceptable.
Hats and hoods are not allowed at all.
Hats are not allowed on campus (including baseball caps, sports visors, head scarves, hair nets, night caps, head wraps, curlers, knitted head gear, and tams). NO BANDANAS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED.
Blue Oxford shirt with tie or Murphy High School logo tie may be worn on Fridays only.
“Dress up, not down!”
Fridays ONLY – All clubs, sports teams, organizations, cheerleaders and band members, will be allowed to wear a standard t-shirt of the same color (white) on all game days and on Fridays. T-shirts must display the Murphy High School club name or the on-campus event the school sponsors. Class shirts for junior and seniors are also allowed on Fridays. During cold weather, sweatshirts of the same color can be worn with each group's own screen print.
Approved uniform pants, belt, and shoes, must be worn at all times (shirt “tucked in”)!
