Bio

I am National Board Certified in all sciences. I received my certification in 1998.

I have been teaching science for 38 years in both high school and university venues.

This is my tenth year at Murphy High School. I have previously taught at LeFlore High School, Blount High School, JT Wright School, University of South Alabama, and served as a Special Services teacher for the State Department of Education.

I am a graduate of Murphy High School and the University of South Alabama

I have a BS and MS in biology, MS in Education and multiple certifications in education including leadership/administration and Family and Consumer Sciences.

I have been married for 41 years and have a daughter who is raising a beautiful son and daughter, and a son who is career Air Force. He and his lovely wife have two wonderful sons.

I live and love science. I have no hobbies because my main love is teaching. I am adding my grandchildren to my list of activities.

I am looking forward to a wonderful tenure at Murphy High School.

I  previously taught a ACT Science Reasoning review class at USA for ten years. I serve as adjunct faculty at Faulkner State in Bay Minette where I teach human anatomy and physiology and  biology classes for Faulkner. I am thrilled to add adjunct at Bishop State College to my list with the dual enrollment Honors Biology II classes. I am trained in AP Biology and AP Chemistry and  taught those courses during my tenure at LeFlore Magnet High School.
