Students in Grades 2 and 3 will take the ACAP Test starting tomorrow,
March 24-March 27.
Students MUST arrive to school on time each day during testing. Late students will not be admitted to testing sessions.
NO early dismissals.

Friendly reminder, there will be NO SCHOOL on tomorrow, Friday March 13th-Virtual Day and Monday, March 16th-Teacher Workday.
All students will return Tuesday, March 17th to begin 4th Quarter.

Students in Grades 2-5 had an exciting Pep Rally with Air Elite Dunkers, and what a show it was! These amazing athletes wowed our students with incredible slam dunks and dance moves while also sharing an important message about having a positive attitude, working hard, and treating others the way you want to be treated. Our students were inspired, energized, and are Ready to Slam Dunk the ACAP!

As of right now, school will be in session as normal tomorrow. Just a reminder, our take-in time is 7:15am and our instructional day begins at 7:45am. ERD students must be in proper school uniform but may wear non-uniform winter jackets, hats and gloves so that they stay warm. Hoodies are also acceptable during the next few days; however, students will be asked to remove them while in the building. If we receive any additional information or weather updates, we will post them on social media and send out messages via SMS messaging.

Pre-K Registration opens today. Pre-registration for Alabama First Class Pre-K opens today! Alabama First Class Pre-K has been ranked as the nation’s highest quality state pre-kindergarten program for 19 consecutive years, and MCPSS has Alabama First Class Pre-K classrooms in schools around the county. If you have a child who will be 4 years old on or before September 1, begin the application process for the 2026-27 school year today.

We want to personally thank all the families who have already participated in our Reading for Education fundraiser! We are on our way to reaching our goal, but we need everyone's help to make sure our teachers get the essential tools they need to help our students succeed.
If your family has not participated, there's still time!
This safe and easy fundraiser is 100% online so there is no face-to-face selling, collecting money, or delivering products. Your child will receive a prize just for participating, and more prizes will be awarded when goals are reached.
