I am a Russian American. I came to the U.S. on Feb. 6, 2005, and became an American citizen on Oct. 24, 2018.
I graduated from Omsk State Pedagogical University in Omsk, Russia, with Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in English and German. In Alabama my education was confirmed and I was given a Highly Qualified Status.
I knew at a young age that teaching was my passion and I really loved English and later German languages. So I decided to become a foreign language teacher! :)
I have been teaching at Murphy since January 2007. First year and a half I taught ESL. This is my 13th year teaching all levels of German (1-5). Russian was one of my classes in the school year 2018-19 which I really enjoyed teaching. Unfortunately, there's no room in my schedule for any more Russian classes.
I am a devoted wife to my wonderful husband, Kenneth, of 15 years. We have three cats that bring us lots of joy!
We are huge Alabama Crimson Tide fans! Roll Tide!
In addition, I love traveling, hiking, taking pictures, learning new languages, cooking, outdoors, reading, and other things.
I have always been proud to be a part of Murphy HS, school of excellent traditions and wonderful staff! Go Panthers!!
